Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts is the first game released in the series, and is the second chronologically. The Tagline for Kingdom Hearts is “You never know who you’ll run into next.” The main theme song for KHI is “Simple and Clean” by Utada Hikaru. Kingdom Hearts was released as an Action RPG on the Playstation 2.

Chronologically, Kingdom Hearts follows the events of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, it occurs before Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and partially overlaps with Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
Kingdom Hearts revolves around a fourteen year old boy, named Sora. Sora travels too many worlds with his friends Donald and Goofy. They are looking for their friends, Riku, Kairi and King Mickey. In his adventure, Sora has to battle and defeat hordes of sinister creatures of darkness called the Heartless. Sora and his friends meet many different characters from classic Disney movies and Final Fantasy games, through their adventures.
At the beginning of the game, Sora lives on Destiny Island with his friends Riku and Kairi. When the Darkness destroys their home, Sora appears in Traverse Town, where he discovers that he wields the Keyblade. He learns about the Heartless, his Keyblade and what he has to do with. Sora then meets Donald and Goofy, who are searching for the person with the “Key”. They agree to let Sora travel with them and help with their search for King Mickey, while they will help Sora find Kairi and Riku.
They travel the many Disney inspired worlds, sealing their Keyholes, which are the doors to the worlds heart. They also learn about the Princess of Heart, seven princess that have no darkness in their hearts, and when they are together, they will open the final Keyhole, that will lead a person to the heart of all worlds, Kingdom Hearts.
The friends battle with Maleficent at Hollow Bastion to release the Princesses of Heart, and so Sora can save Kairi, who a is Princess of Heart. They defeat her, but soon realise that she is not the last person they have to defeat. Sora and Co. must defeat Ansem who has taken over Riku. They defeat him and Sora releases Kairi’s heart which is trapped in his own heart and by doing so, Sora becomes a Heartless. Donald and Goofy try to save Kairi by getting her out of Hollow Bastion, but they are attacked by hordes of Heartless. While Donald and Goofy try to fend them off, Kairi recognises one of the Heartless as Sora, and using her powers as a Princess of Heart save him.
Sora then seals the final Keyhole, and goes to defeat Ansem and the End of the World. They finally defeat Ansem, and discover that Kingdom Hearts is light. Once Ansem is defeated Sora and Co. Try to close the Door to Kingdom Hearts, where they discover that Riku and King Mickey are on the other side, King Mickey says that they must lock the door on both sides, Sora must lock the outside and King Mickey must lock the inside, Sora doesn’t like this to begin with, but Donald and Goofy tell Sora to trust the King.
After closing the Door, the destroyed worlds start to rebuild themselves, and Kairi is begin pulled back to Destiny Island, but before Kairi leaves, Sora promises that they will see each other again one day.
The three friends, now alone, start planning on how to find Riku and King Mickey, although they do not know where they should start. Walking alone they Pluto, and in his mouth is a letter, with the King’s Seal on it. Sora, Donald and Goofy then start to chase Pluto.
